i am a designer and musician from Cairo and currently based in LA. my design practice has been focused on interiors and coordinating fabrication and i aim to explore installation and experiential design with the intention of creating meaningful shared experiences centered around user participation. i hope to continue developing a deeper understanding of building traditions and materiality as informed by local contexts, as well as continue to explore musical traditions to better understand identity and use music as a vehicle for collective expression and community building.

my time is spent listening to and playing music, reading and being outside. my interests include architectural heritage, online / digital worlds, archival items + artefacts, cats and futbol.
